Thanks and grats on your new words and posts. Hurraaays for all the food. Baking cozies are super popular!
Yesterday, I wrote another blog post, and I put together a blank page journal notebook. 370 pages, so it can be used daily for 2019. Today, I have to work on formatting and a cover, blurb, etc. Paperbacks are still a fascinating mystery to me, so I'm not very good at them yet. But I need to stop being scared and figure them out.

The Hallowind Cove stories are not really cozy mysteries, though I'll probably classify them that way, since they're most likely to appeal to the paranormal and culinary cozy crowd.
I really need to get to work on print formatting, especially since I'm going to WorldCon 77 next year and paperbacks would be great to take along.
I also bought a Leuchtturm 1917 journal and want to get started on bullet journalling in 2019. The last time I tried that, I got badly distracted by a family health crisis.
Today, I wrote 1581 words. I'd hoped for more, but my blood pressure went haywire and I had to lie down.

Good job on the new words! I think cozy is a genre unto itself and it's wide. As long as the reader gets a cozy/warm feeling while reading then it fits that genre. IMO Which is why Babylon 5 is a cozy space opera. I think NCIS could be classified as a cozy, as well. The original and New Orleans one, anyway. JAG is a cozy, too. Whenever that theme song starts up I feel like I'm eating a big bowl of mashed potatoes. My journal actually got accepted after quite a lot of hair pulling with the cover. I don't expect to sell any, but you never know. I need to figure out a way to make images 300 PPI/DPI that amazon will be able to upload. I tried gimp, but amazon wouldn't upload them. So then I tried a couple of online image converters and neither one was able to get my pic to 300. I finally had to choose a cover with the pic scaled down smaller so that it's centered in the middle of the cover. But I would like to be more in control of how my covers look. I have a third book that I tried to paperback that is still in draft mode cos I couldn't figure that cover out and I got impatient and said, "forget about it!" But I really that "incomplete mark" on my bookshelf. Paper books are soooo much more complicated than eBooks.

Congrats on the words, writewayK'Sennia Visitor The various NCIS shows indeed have a cozy feel, which is probably the reason why they lasted so long, when other shows that started around the same time have long gone. I only wrote 1226 words today, because I was inexplicably tired.

Woah writeway! Well done on the 5,000! *sleepy snuggles* corabuhlert, good going the words you did get. We had a break in our waterline, so our water got shut off while dad and a friend fixed it today, which meant no church! So it felt sorta like an Amish Christmas. The only writing I did was in text messages and FB posts. But I did read a lot. And a character talked to me about the start of her exciting journey.

Thanks, everyone. I am proud because I admit I've been lazy through this project. I usually start a project and off I go but this time I've been taking breaks here and there and I took a whole week off before yesterday. I think it's because this is the final book in my series and even though I've enjoyed the series, I've grown tired of it. This time around it feels more like a chore and this book hasn't been as enjoyable to write as the others. I'm content with the story and all but I think it's just my subconscious proving it's time to move on.

It's a good decision to move on once you get tired and lose excitement for it. Too many good series have been ruined because the author didn't know when to quit. So good on ya and hurraaaaays for being able to relax and be productive.

I wrote a very good 2997 words today. About half of them were for the Hallowind Cove Christmas story, which is coming along nicely. The other half were for the anthology review I'm supposed to write. In fact, I finished the review tonight. One more read-through tomorrow, then it's off.

corabuhlert, Hallowind Cove is such a cute name! I adore the word cove, so that helps. Good going on your words. I have been internet researching, trying to develop new skills so that I won't worry about money so much and writing can just be fun again! I am still doing world building in my head, which is super fun, and I think counts as mental writing. My world is a lot smaller than earth, it only has 11 nations, but learning about them all is a lot of fun!

So good on ya and hurraaaaays for being able to relax and be productive. This is the sixth one. I do love the series and have enjoyed it. It's romantic suspense. I'd already planned this one to be the last and seems like I made the right choice. Once you get tired, it's time to wrap it up. But it's gotten a lot of support and people enjoy it so I am happy about that. Also, this was a spinoff series of another romantic suspense series I wrote.

K'Sennia Visitor Well, Hallowind Cove is a seaside town, so it needs a suitably seaside name. writeway Congrats on finishing your series. When you publish the latest book, feel free to give me a shout and I'll feature it at the Indie Crime Scene. We do cover romantic suspense, though I don't get a whole lot of it. Only 1022 words today, because I had an appointment this afternoon and then some day job related crap to deal with on top of that.

Worldbuilding is important as are worldbuilding notes, K'Sennia VisitorI took my Mom to a local mall today for some holiday shopping. My Mom doesn't drive anymore and can't walk longer distances, so she doesn't get out much. She didn't walk around the mall either, instead I dumped her off at a coffeeshop, but the different atmosphere plus the drive there (through an interesting part of the city) was still a change for her. Plus, I got a cool Rocket Raccoon t-shirt and season 1 of Star Trek Discovery on DVD for myself. I also wrote 1027 words and sent off two poems to a magazine and the review I've been working on to the site that will (hopefully) run it.

I love, love, love STD!!!!! Season one was amazing. I can't wait for season 2 to start. Awe, I love Rocket, too. Bet the shirt is super cute. *crossing stuff that your article is accepted and your poems, too* Tomorrow is our shopping day, so I'll get more car time for story thoughts. I'm sort of starting over from scratch, so I'm taking my time, working out the details. My world actually has 12 nations, but that's it. I drew a map of my world last night, so that's been helping me be able to visualize stuff better.

Noice job! I wrote 2,887 words today. I am liking my new map, but I'm still not satisfied with my world yet. It's still too small and shallow. So I need to do more research and dig deep into my archive. But writing new words feels good.

I wrote 1027 words yesterday and 1889 words today, most of this for a guest post I have to hand in next week. I really need to get started on editing that Christmas story, so i can get it out on time, though.
December is a frustrating month, because there is so much other holiday related stuff to deal with and some of the e-book vendors (Apple, cough) shut down for the holidays earlier than my family doctor or a German highschool. Because obviously, some of the biggest companies in the world can't be expected to work in December like normal people.

Right, D2D says you have to have it in by Dec 7, if you want it up in time for xmas! Amazon doesn't send out helpful emails like that, so I have no idea what their deadline is. Good job on the new words!!!! I wrote 3,359 words on a new story, but then I realized it was stupid, so stopped. But at least I wrote, I guess. I also wrote a thousand and change on a nonfiction book before deciding that it wasn't something I should/could write, either. But more words.

Words are always good. And who knows, maybe you'll return to the abandoned project one day and find a way to finish it. At any rate, I return to abandoned projects all the time.
I had a very tiring day today, so I'm glad that I managed 1384 words.

1111 words today. At least, it's a nice number.
One of the reasons I really hate December is that there is always is much extra stuff like holiday parties, etc... that take up time that could be spend writing.
