I've been releasing consistently since January and for the past two or three months, I've been releasing an erotic romance short each week. I am now working on a novella and once I finish with it I'm going to take a month's vacation from writing. I've earned it! *smiles*

Yesterday I got another novel written. It came in at 61,000 words. It did feel slow going at times, yet I look at my writing numbers for each session each day, and overall they were very good. Must have been a mood thing. I'm taking the rest of this week to read and maybe do some edits, then I'll start a new project on Monday.

I'm still plugging away on TUOK. I'm working on the series outline, right now. I've got 67 pages, and around 14,000 words into it so far. I want to plot out the entire first phase before I start writing it because when I pants everything always goes wrong. I'd rather get all of the editing and shuffling around, and deleting, and realizing this character should be here, and that's impossible - I need to change that stuff before I start writing it. I think it's working, so far.

Yesterday I finished another book. It came in at almost exactly 49,500 words. Yeah, that was not intentional. It came out shorter than I thought it would at the start, but that's fine. Today I'm going to get my next release uploaded, and I plan to start on a new project on Monday.

I've been bad again at not posting in this thread.  So, after I finished the last book, I started on another. However, it ended up feeling as though it was a first part. I finished that on September 1. I plotted out a part two and got that done on September 10. But that didn't feel like it completed things. It would need a part three. I held off on plotting it and went to another project. I got that done on October 1. That turned out to be a short novel, coming in at 51,000 words. It looks like it'll be the first of a series. I have a second book plotted out, and I'm going to try to plot out a third book over the next few days. Then I got around to plotting out that part three. It ended up being rather short, and I finished it Wednesday. The book as a whole came in at just under 60,000 words. Oh, one last thing: I got the idea for a fantasy novel featuring a kaiju. I have it plotted, so that might be my next project... |

I bet your Kaiju story will be fun! Congrats on your other projects, too. Don't you love it when what you think is just a simple story keeps expanding and expanding on you? I've been tuok-wrangling, and today I learned that Vydorscope is actually Vertical Scope. I knew the Vydor part was wrong, but never felt like looking it up. I only know the real name now because I was googling and it came up in the search results. *teehee* |
