DD mentioned using this one at the same time as B Knights promo, so thought I'd add it to the list. So have you used Book Raid? Tell us about it. Share figures, share experiences, feelings, whatever you feel comfortable sharing. Would you recommend this service to your fellow indies? Why or why not? bookraid.com/p/partners/sign_up

I did a promo in October that cost a $19 and some change, and gave away around 443 freebies. The one in late January cost $20 and gave away over 593, so I was pleased with the results. They use the base rate + click to determine the cost, so it can be as little as $10 I think, up to a max of $20, and they give you a dashboard page so you can see the stats on every promo you've run with them. It also tracks when a particular book is eligible for another promo. Overall, they are the best promo company I've worked with so far in terms of moving a lot of books and having some author tools available, so I will definitely use them for my next launch.

Giving campaign performance stats is fucking revolutionary, but saw very little performance from them. Luckily (I guess) you only pay for what you get, so it was cheap!
