For me it's Dr. Pepper. I can't write, can barely even function, if I don't get a shot of that sweet, sweet, medical miracle.
I just get sooooo sleepy without it. I suffer from "tired eyes" anyway cos I'm at my computer pretty much 24/7, and that's so bad, not even Dr. Pepper can help me when me eyes decide they need to close. But during the day when my eyes have gotten enough shuteye I'm still usually soooooo tired. When I'm tired, I can't focus, or think, or create. In other words I am addicted to the good doctor's medicine. Good thing it tastes pretty good.
What about Y'all? What do you absotively-posilutely must have in order to write?

Coffee! Dunkin' Donuts coffee is the only reason any of my books exist. Indie authors run on dunkin! I think their donuts are very good. I haven't lived near one in many years, but I remember liking them anyway. Burger King used to serve hot chocolate in the winters, for breakfast. I don't know why, but dunkin donuts make me think of winter and being little which makes me think of field trip days and breakfast at Burger King with hot chocolate.

yeah I go to Dunkin' Donuts a lot, I know all the managers. hell there's one near me where they keep blowing a fuse, which the employees don't notice because the only effect is that the little outlets out in the dining area stop working, so I can't charge my laptop. Most of the employees are usually middle-aged Latinas whose English is poor or high school girls who thinking flipping a fuse requires either their father or a fleet of electricians. After several days when I tried in vain to explain the problem and they kept saying only that they would wait for their manager, their manager gave me permission to jump in the back and do it for them if they aren't comfortable with it.
