I notice more and more weird accounts posting gibberish. Has anyone heard from K.? I don't think she's been here since Jan. I hope she is okay. I know this board isn't that active but I still like coming through once in a while. Hopefully she pops back in soon.

I do hope she's okay. It's concerning that she's been absent so long, and presumably no-one has seen her on any other forum.
I'm afraid the weird spammers pop up everywhere active management stops.

I checked her FB and she hasn't posted on there since Jan either. Folks are asking about her there too. I do hope she is okay but I'm gonna be positive. She did say she had a lot of projects she needed to work on and I think she was thinking of branching out into another pen name or something. I'm hoping she is just busy because some writers do abandon a lot of online activity when they are in their writing caves or structuring new works. Maybe she will check in soon just to let us know she is okay.

I'd like to believe that she made a New Year resolution to eschew social media and concentrate on writing and that she will make a triumphant return when she's published first TUOK book.
But it would have been nice to know she was doing that, if she is. So hard not to be concerned.

I was trying to think that way too but I can't see her not at least popping in in almost four months since this is her forum. I don't think she's been on Facebook either. |

I hope she is okay too but she might as well have just closed this forum down if she's never coming back by choice and not from circumstances she can't control. It's just weird because even when authors stop writing they don't erase their presence online. I hope nothing happened where she was bullied online or something and she is going underground. Maybe she's writing under a new pen name or whatever. Sad because I doubt we will ever find out what happened. But, yeah, this board has no purpose without an admin. It's not that busy as it is. |

That usually means someone changed their name. The quotes in other people's posts will still show your original name. She probably changed her name so her posts are not easily identified as hers anymore. It's a step one takes to withdraw from a forum and it often means you don't plan on coming back. For whatever reason, it does appear she's withdrawn from public view. I hope she's doing okay. |

That usually means someone changed their name. I liked to think name changing more positive than simply disappearing. But I've also realised that it might just be a change in the kboards forum software. iirc ' is just html for ' I don't know any other members with apostrophe in their names to check. |

Seems to be this. Discovered another member with this name change. (I checked Irish names. Found it with an O'Malley - an O'Leary just became an O.) So just another example of kboards incompetence. |
