Has anyone ordered a hardcover from KDP?

I've seen a handful of authors on the booktok part of TikTok placing orders for hardbacks from KDP. I think only one of them has had the hardback come in so far. It looked okay as I recall. No dust jacket, I think.

I'm not sure I'll do it for any of my books just yet. I'd like to know there would be demand for one of my titles as a hardback. I would like to see more of them in wild. Do they look good to readers? How do they hold up? What's the price point for one? How many pages does a submitted book have to be?

It's another option. I'm going to be patient before I jump in.

I don't even get my print down from KDP anymore. I use Draft2Digital. I don't care about hardcover so not trying it. Hardcover is just to give out on special occasions but the general public isn't reading hardcover these days. From what I see, authors are just getting them done for themselves as collective items.
