I don't want to have too many rules, but I think having a few helps everyone feel more secure and safer about posting. So here you go!
1. Post wherever you want to. Post whatever you want to. (Unless it's spam or illegal and nasty like child porn.)
2. When providing info on scammers, be open about whether you have proof of what you're saying, or whether this is just a hunch or educated guess.
And then show us why you came to the conclusion you did. Don't state things as facts if they are not.
3. Show as much proof and evidence as possible or that you feel comfortable sharing. You can do so here in this board, or you can do so on the Name and Shame board which is only viewable to members. Either way is fine.
4. Don't use scammers real names and identifying info unless it's already public knowledge (like in court records or they outed themselves).
5. Don't be a jerk to other posters. It's fine to call spammers, spammers. You don't need to worry about hurting the feelings of those who are hurting others.
But don't cuss other posters out because you're having a bad day and they used one too many commas.
Additional info for rule 5: You can call liberals or conservatives as a group, racist, but don't call other posters that. You can call politicians/celebrities whatever you want, and you can still call scammers scammers because no one who is known to be stealing/cheating the community is allowed to post here.
6. Self promotion is fine. But if you offer a service that breaks TOS or is scammy, others will likely call you on it.
7. Normal swearing and other adult language is fine. There are no language filters here, as far as I know.
8. No homophobic or transphobic posts allowed. If you mention that trans folks are mentally ill or in any way question their identity that is a hard - Not Allowed. If someone asks to be referred to by a certain pronoun - use that pronoun. It's not hard. The same for being gay or nonbinary. I don't care which planet you are from on this planet being gay and being trans is awesome and not to be questioned here. I'll put up with a lot but not with that.
How did I do? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
