I just discovered Kboards has a like button, and my happiness exploded all over the place. It's probably been there since vydorscope bought Kboards, but I only saw it, today, (because I am observant.) And I don't know why but it made me feel so happy. Back when Betsy was running the place we tried so hard to get a like button, but it was always no, no, no. This button doesn't erase all of the other issues with the new boards, but it makes me unreasonably happy all the same.

This button doesn't erase all of the other issues with the new boards, but it makes me unreasonably happy all the same. I remember many folks asking for a like button back then. My guess is the mods didn't want it because they loved to control everything. I imagined they'd be manipulating the "likes" in order to maintain their tyrannical control over the group. But yeah, I think it's been there a while but talk about behind the times. Kboards was like the only forum that didn't have one.

Yep. They were huge control freaks, and all of their cattleprod lickers agreed with them. Even with the like button, I still prefer reading the old wayback machine threads instead, most of the time. Because kboards switched how urls look, you can't just copy paste old threads you find anymore. You have to revert the link structure back to how it was in the olden days or wayback can't find them. Luckily, I had some old threads from the wayback machine saved.
I still read newer threads, too, of course. To try to keep up with the day-to-day, which is more than I can say for Hugh. One amusing thing I've found in his Vella thread is he keeps mentioning Createspace.
