Simon & Schuster are trying to get into the ereader game by creating their own cloud app called Glose. They are currently trying to trick people into signing up for it by offering a free book when you sign up for the newsletter, and then bait-and-switching to the Glose app. You can't even download the book, as far as I can see, you have to read it in your browser. The app is very similar to the Kindle app. I have no idea how new this is; I found out about it through a link in a Facebook group. www.simonandschuster.com/c/free-ebook-offer?fbclid=IwAR3MLpytPPiOoSa-dmK9O45MfAan_-jjLBFvc7FoyuticZkRw3dnsbEv0SQ Unless I did something wrong, the books they offer you on the sign-up page aren't even the ones they offer for download. But it's possible the book I chose was a special glose book, and if I'd chosen the vampire book it would have been a download. They remember your IP, so you can't download a different one with a new email address. But anyway, it was interesting learning about the app.
