Hey guys, I work with bookspry.com and just realised I've never talked about it here before. It's a group of authors/designers trying to get an author services site off the ground, and a big part of that is the newsletter promo which has been incredibly successful and is (in my humble opinion) one of the best newsletters out there in terms of ROI. Currently it's only for Romance and Erotica, but the goal is to expand to Sci-Fi and Crime/Mystery very soon. I'm not exactly a born salesman, so.... What is it?Daily romance newsletter featuring free and cheap romance books. How does it work?
You submit your book here. What does it cost?Depends on which option you choose, but currently the prices are between $5 and $20. Why should I trust you!?Great question. Definitely do your research on companies you don't know. So, you can check us out on some other forums, or ask me some questions here. Also, for first time authors, we have a "risk free" model where you don't have to pay until after your promo runs. Then you pay if you think the promo is what you'd expect for the price range (we aren't bookbub, but we do provide a ton of value for the price). You just have to ask for the "risk free" deal when you message us for the first time. Sorry this got long...I look forward to any questions!

Thanks for posting this, downtown! I'm publishing some new romance work, so I'll be submitting soon. Also, I just signed up for the newsletter.

They put a lot of time into building and maintaining that list so I'm not surprised, but it's always great to hear. Which service did you book? (If you don't mind me asking.)

I'm broke at the moment, so I chose the $5 option for a short story. Next time, I may do a novel under another pen name.

I know kateelizabeth said she signed up for the newsletter, but I can't find a sign up option anywhere. All I see are the books you have listed on the site. A nice big sign up for daily deals box right up at the top would be great. Or even a popup. Oh, okay. I found it hiding under FAQ. If you want more signups I would definitely suggest making the signup form easier to find. Other than that, great prices. Thanks for sharing with us.

There is a "slide in" email signup form on the deals page, but it depends a bit on user behaviour. I always hesitate to put more "invasive" style sign up forms on web pages, but I should probably get over that. Especially since people are looking for it! Thanks for letting me know!

Just something visible, possibly static to each page would do. No need to be super invasive. I use adblock plus, so that's probably why your slide-in didn't show up for me. Exit popups always do, as well as the ones that pop up after you've been on the site for two seconds and have no idea if you want to subscribe or not.
