I love writing fantasy because I love magick and creating magick systems. I'm not super into the medieval, Arthurian, sword and sorcery type of fantasy. I prefer futuristic and urban fantasy. The juxtaposition of technology and magick together, the secret society hidden in plain sight is more my jam. But I don't mind a little bit of old world style fantasy mixed in between the modern stuff. TUOK is futuristic Fantasy in Space. At least parts of it take place in space. There is a lot of planet hopping, but a lot of characters use portals instead of ships. But there are spaceships, too, of course. I enjoy mishing and mashing subgenres together. It's more fun that way. Why do you love fantasy? What are your favorite subgenres to read and write?
