Well, I have a character called Haughan Dawes because I was hungry and thinking about the yummy chocolate milkshakes I used to get.

I have named a character after a car, Camrie.

I am always making up names for my characters. I'm with you. If I hear/see/think of a pleasing combination of sounds I use it! I've been told I'm not allowed to name anything because of this, but my characters don't complain.
