Are there differences between how the male and the female brain recall sexual experiences?
Like say, a man slept with a girl when they were both 17 and now they're in their fifties and they run into each other again. How likely is he to remember that encounter? I imagine if he didn't fuck around a lot then she would be more memorable. But how about if he slept around a lot and drank and partied a lot during that time? Would the experience had to have been really special for him to remember? I always hear that men are extremely visual, so if he ran into her again unexpectedly, could the right trigger bring him right back to that moment to have the whole encounter play out in his head again? How vivid are memories like that usually?
If she was also a huge partier/drinker when she was 17, and slept with a lot of peeps of all genders, would she be more likely or less likely to remember him? Would you expect her memories to be as visual as his or would she recall more emotions than physical sensations?
I know that there is no answer that would fit all female and male brains since there is no one way to be male or female, but I was wondering if there was a general consensus in how each person would be most likely to experience such a reunion?

I don't know. In my erotic romances, I think all of my heroines had been in relationships for their previous sexual experiences, and about half of my heroes. I assume that if alcohol and sleeping around a lot were involved, unless it was "special" somehow, things might blur.

I know I would remember. Of course I also have an excellent memory recall, so I may not be the norm.

I would remember all the sex details, but probably wouldn't recognize the person after 20 or 30 years. A certain amount of filling out of the facial features tends to make a drastic change in the way someone's face looks at in the late teens/early twenties and how they look as a 40 or 50 year old, even if they don't really gain much weight anywhere else. But then there's people like Dick Clark, who looked the same forever. Hell, he probably looks the same now, and he's been dead for ages, hasn't he?
I didn't have a lot of drunken sex, though, so that might change my ability to recall details.
