Ever since I started publishing shorts I have been on amazon and KU. I have a few racier titles on SW that do fairly well. My question is, do others who go wide do well on other platforms? Is it worth it to move wide? I do a lot of PI and wonder how many retailers are going to accept my work or am I going to be stuck with SW? Should I also try Excitica?

Worth it is a relative term. I'm just on D2D. I sell a couple copies a month. I really wouldn't recommend D2D for erotica at all because so many of the stores won't even accept it, and they tend to be even more strict than amazon. I hear really good things about smashwords and everyone says I should be on there but they pay by check or paypal, and I don't have paypal and don't trust paper checks, so I've shied away from them, but most people seem to feel being on there is worth it. Excitica isn't advertised very well, and I haven't heard of anyone doing really well over there, but if getting even a few extra sales would be worth it, then I'd say, "go for it." There is also Lots Cave, which specializes in novel-length incest. If you write novel-length mother-son stuff you would do really well over there, but the owner himself admits that his audience doesn't like shorts.

I used to sell several copies a month of my short stepbrother romance on BN, but they stopped carrying PI last year. I just sold a couple of copies on Google Play last week, so that's still available, besides Smashwords and Amazon. K'Sennia has some good advice of where else to try. My non-PI stuff was on Excitica when it first opened, and I didn't have any sales in the 6 or so months I was on there, so I pulled them. Apparently, they've now really got the customers, though. Plus, Selena is really nice.

I have taboo stuff on SW under a different pen name and do decent for what I have there. Didn't know if lotscave or excitica were worth the effort. How does one get into google play?

You can write to Google Play, asking to get direct access, or you can go through Street Lib and Publish Drive. If you go direct, you need to price higher, because they discount past $1.99, I think. $3.94 gives you $2.99, $5.18 gives you 3.99, etc., but they base your royalty on that higher amount. TK's huge GP thread on Kboards from a few years ago is where I got my pricing. From what I've read, Street Lib has an old deal with GP where GP won't discount, and Publish Drive will keep reapplying a higher amount until the desired price is correct.
I hope that helps.
