I may need to rethink my bundling. I have typically put 6 at $5.99, but those are not serials. Am i shooting myself in the foot? All of my books are shorts between 3500 and 6000 words. What is your typical word count? Thankfully I only have a few bundles, but have been thinking of adding more.

Gotcha. Not sure how many words my bundles are, have to check that. I would say I average about 4k words per book. Some more, some less. Looks like some experimenting on my part is long overdue!

I’ve got my 10 book bundle at $9.99 and my 4 book bundle at $5.99. So far the $9.99 is my best seller. Which makes sense since the 4 books can all be found in the big bundle, too. But two of the books are mostly unpublished everywhere as singles. I have an idea for a new series. I just have to find the motivation to write it. And I will bundle it all together when it’s finished I bet if you included a few super smutty shorts inside the bundle that would never be accepted on their own, so they were bundle exclusive, you would sell even more. Advertise the ultra smut on your website and email page, but only tease on amazon. Don’t say secret books or anything, just name it something tame enough for amazon and exclusive new content. Then use a tame/coded blurb. As long as you title each story and let buyers know what they’re getting, too should be fine. Especially if you’re wide. Also maybe place the new stories in the middle. That way no one can read them from the look inside, but you can’t be accused of trying to get them to scroll to the back, if you’re in KU. And of course, don’t be an obnoxious stuffer. Always bundle appropriately, don’t use them to manipulate rank/KU. Bundle sensibly and you’ll be fine.

Your $9.99 bundle was the inspiration for my own! Awwwe! Yeah, I was surprised how well it sold, too. Well for me, anyway. I've made $160.40 from 28 sales. I've made $10.17 from 3 sales for my Pain Club bundle. However, I've made $40 for the month after having a zero dollar month in July.

I thought you couldn't put a book into more than one bundle? Am I not correct in that?

I thought you couldn't put a book into more than one bundle? Am I not correct in that? There is no set number of times that a story can be re-bundled. If I was bundling all 10 of my stories into each new story I publish that would be excessive and annoying to readers. But one bundle with all of my stories together is a great deal. And the second bundle is just the 4 books in one series. It's a bit cheaper and maybe a reader isn't interested in the others, they just want the complete series. So those two bundles make sense and aren't going to annoy anyone. At this point I've reached the end of where bundling these exact books would be reasonable. But if I were to publish a bunch more cuckold stories. It would be fine to take the one cuckold story in my 10-series bundle, and re-bundle it with all the others for a cuckold collection. So you can bundle as many times as makes sense. It only becomes a problem when you start being ridiculous with it. Like if I were to re-bundle all 10 into the back of my new story and give it a different name that wouldn't make any sense, and it would be annoying. With bundles, you just have to place yourself in your reader's shoes and ask what they would want. I mean I could take all my standalone stories and do a standalone bundle, but would my readers want that? They can already get that in the big one. I just can't imagine any readers saying they wished there was a 6 book standalone bundle. Whereas, I could imagine someone wanting the complete pain club series. If authors would just think about their readers they wouldn't need to obsess so much about the TOS and whether this or that is allowed or not. At least as far as bundles are concerned. Amazon never gives a straight answer anyway. This is what amazon says - they call bundles - multi-work books: If you're publishing multiple stories as one book, ensure the contents of your book are accurately reflected both in the title field and on the cover, by including terms such as "Boxed Set," "Bundle," "Collection," "Compilation," or "Series." Stories that are part of a series must be in sequential order within a book and collections of individual stories must have all stories listed in the metadata. Collections of works and numbered series may include content you've previously published in your catalog. However, in order to provide an optimal customer experience, the same content may not be excessively reutilized across multiple books. We consider "excessive" any amount of content repetition that would create a poor shopping or reading experience. Multi-work books must meet all program guidelines (e.g., you must have exclusive publishing rights for all content enrolled in KDP Select). For more information, see our content guidelines and Terms and Conditions. kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G200952510

That makes sense. I never really thought of it that way, but it does give me a renewed interest in bundling stories. Time to revisit some books!
