I need to write a new story, so I am working on the motivation and inspiration to do that.

It's probably not going to help you, but I'm over 118K words into my "epic" SF novel. Looking like the end is in sight, though I suspect there's still 20K or more to go. We'll see what the muse tosses out. Then I get to decide what to work on next. I think it will be something from the other pen name (UF series).

I'm working on several things, as usual, but my main focus is a romance/chick lit series, both spicy and sweet versions. They're short stories, so I don't expect much in the way of sales (except for mainly Google Play), but I can focus on them when I feel up to it, and feel like I'm really accomplishing something. By bundling them, I can do pretty well (for me) on Kobo's in-house promotions, too, which is nice.

I just did a massive writing challenge in July, so I have a backlog of stories in need of editing.
I'm also working on a non-fiction article about a vintage science fiction film for a website to which I sometimes contribute.

I remember you participating in those really old challenge threads back during the Eelkat era. I admire how much you accomplish, and how many different projects you're involved with/run.

I did a story a day challenge in July 2018 for the fourth year in a row. I really like doing these challenges, because they force my mind to come up with story ideas very quickly and also force me to just run with an idea, no matter how absurd. And in fact, some of the most interesting stories to come out of that challenge were also some of the weirdest.

I have decided to write a cozy mystery. I'm hoping to actually write one this time. If I manage to write 4 in a row that will be muy amazing, too!

Fingers crossed that you manage to write your cozy mystery. And when you publish it, let me know and I'll give you a new release spotlight at the Indie Crime Scene.

Thanks You. I have it plotted out in broad strokes, right now. Off to watch more of the terrible master class and hope it helps me with motivation!

I'm working on the final book in my cozy mystery series, and the second book in a new fantasy series I'm going to rapid release in the fall.
It will be bittersweet saying goodbye to my cozy characters, but it's time. I'm moving back into fantasy for good, so I want to wrap up the series, and not leave my readers hanging.

Actually trying to write some shorts. I'm not the writer in this team, but I want to see if there's any value or interest there. I've always enjoyed writing, just never for...commercial purposes?
