Have you ever written a non-linear storyline? A story for your readers to read out of sequence? Why did you make that choice? Were you pleased with the results? Do you enjoy reading/watching other author's non-linear stories? They kind of annoy me. I don't mind time travel/flashbacks/flashforwards, but I don't like it when the storyline is hard to figure out because I'm never sure when and where in time I am. If the author is clear on where and when in time this part of the story is taking place, and I'm not confused, then I don't mind the switching. I think non-linear storytelling can be great if you're telling a story which takes places over a long period of time. It allows you to show the most exciting parts and parcel out info when it's most relevant. But I think it's challenging to write it well.

It would certainly be challenging to write this way and not confuse or anger readers. But, Rule #1: Tell the story the way that is best for the story.
Actually, my current WIP is a bit out of order in the beginning but I don't like it and will likely make an exception to my preferences to not rewrite. When I did it, the book was coming out differently than what it turned into, so I'm not sure it works any more.
