I'll start. I've got this one book on my KDP dashboard and it won't let me make any changes to it. No matter which options I click it simply reloads my library page. It will let me make a paperback of this book, but won't let me change one single thing about the eBook, which is annoying cos right now it's in draft mode. And I just wanna republish it. It was silly of me to put it in draft mode, in the first place, but I did, and I can't fix it. It let me republish all the other ebooks that I'd drafted on the same day, so I don't believe it's deliberate, or something about the book itself. I think it's just glitching. Though if I get a nastygram about it, I'll know twas more than that. Your turn? Got any gripes or complaints about KDP or any of the other publishing platforms? Issues with formatting software? Typos that never seem to go away? Share your pain with us here.

weird. I'm not seeing an edit button. So I'll update here. I clicked the enroll in KDP button and that one worked and now it says live. So I had to scramble over to D2D where I'd just hit republish to hit depublish. Hahaha I really don't want it in KU, but it's only sold like 1 copy ever on amazon, so it can't hurt. It's not like I'll be losing money. And I actually got a sale or two with my Tanner Hyde book when I stuck it in KU for a while.
I've got a bunch of books that need updates, paperbacks that need covers, etc. But I've got some kinks to work out before those can be fixed. It didn't help that I started having a panic attack in the middle of this. soooo annoying.
But all is well-ish now. So huraaaays!!!!!! *throws well-ish beads*
ETA: Ohhhhh, hahahahahah I forgot that I cleaned my cache, so the reason there wasn't an edit button was because I'm not logged in.

Not really a snafu but a complaint I guess, I wish Amazon would allow indies to have longer pre-orders! All the other retailers do. They allow pubs to do it but not indies and I don't understand why.

What is the benefit of a long pre-order? I remember back when pre-orders were't allowed at all. So I think there's hope they could change the time limit, too, at some point. I don't know why the limit is different. Maybe they had to promise the trads certain privileges that indies don't get, and this gets to be one of them.

So, for anyone interested, it's just the paperbacks that are the problem. Once you create a paperback on Amazon it will stay up there forever, time immemorial. Whether it's available for purchase or not. Still very berry annoyed by this. But oh welly welly. I feel like it's worth the small risk to go ahead with TUOK anyway.
